Each year HCO puts o­n a community theatre. Anyone can try out for a part in the production and people with disabilities are encouraged to try out. There is now a Community Education theatre class for people with developmental disabilities. This class helps them prepare for acting as well as helps them handle being in front of a crowd. This last year there was a theatre camp held for children to familiarize them with theatre.

It takes many people to put o­n the productions. Lots of volunteers are needed to assist all actors, work o­n sets, etc. The production provides lots of interaction for everyone. Anyone can try out for any role as well as any “extras” that are needed. During the production people are also needed to be greeters and venders.
